DURING SIX MONTHS, THIRTY THREE ARTISTS COME TO COMPLETE
TAKE OVER THE PAGES OF A THICK COVERED BLACK BOOK.
ONE PAGE, ONE WORK.

If the policy of HIYA! has always been to let the artists express themselves
in total creative freedom, the thirty three who answered present
this time saw a constraint: use only black and only one
additional color.
It will be red, blue, orange, yellow or purple.

NO TIME ALLOCATED.

For several hours or overnight, the exercise sometimes saw the needles
the clock running over and over again, when other times it took on gears
of pictorial blitzkrieg. Our camera has not missed anything of these creative moments that
you can see er review on the internet.

NO THEME IMPOSED.

Characters, abstract shapes, interlacing, letters, visions,
faces. A bright present, an obscure future, poetry. Graffiti,
the comic strip, blurred lines, precise lines. Each of the thirty three
artists expressed themselves with their style, with no direction required. Just in the mood
with which he came or with which he finally drew.
With this sketch stored for a while in a corner of his mind and which
just asking to get some fresh air, or this idea came once installed in front of
White paper.

With his soundtrack, sounds that he himself had selected for
carry its creative process. Hip-hop, jazz or electro punctuated the
movement of pencils, markers, markers and pens. Always from
black color. The famous additional color taking center stage,
acting as an overall impact, or bringing spikes of
lights in necessarily dark works.

USE ONLY BLACK AND ONLY ONE ADDITIONAL COLOR.

At the outset, a constraint that never appeared as such, nor
even as a bridle or a brake. Rather an obstacle to overcome, a way
stay yourself when the hallway narrows and the room for maneuver
is narrower than usual.
