GRAFFITI ARTIST
Stesi 156, born in 1979 in the Paris region, discovered graffiti at the age of 16 in the 1990s. He chose the name "Stesi" for its potential to develop spontaneous writing.
As a graffiti vandal, he paints without authorization, working quickly to adapt to his environment. Fascinated by these constraints, he developed a style akin to the automatic writing of the Surrealists, without preliminary sketches, preferring the surprise of the finished work.
Inspired by Arabic calligraphy, he incorporates organic and bio-mechanical movements into his painting. Stesi primarily uses spray paint but enriches his style with oil pastels, markers, and inks.
Prolific, he has created thousands of pieces, notably on market trucks. Recognized by his peers, he collaborates with famous graffiti artists and joins renowned crews, such as the COP crew and the mythic 156 All Starz.
